I have been looking in all the boxes Howmac sent me.

So far, I have not come accross a distributor and rotor shaft.

Are big block and small block common ?

This one is set up with MSD Ignition.

Big block & small block distributors and their parts are basically the same.  While there are different shafts, etc you can take a distributor out of a small block and put it in a big block.

SB or BB... same distributor. The "brains' of the distributor is the the main shaft and the advance cam, You get the "right" parts and it will turn a dog into racer...

There should be a correct 1111925 427/390 L36 Distributor in one of those boxes that were shipped . I 'm pretty sure it was put into one of the larger boxes . I looked around here this morning and its not here  ... so it's got to be there somewhere .   H

The shaft is already in the housing. The gear is mounted to the shaft....

The high performance distributors contain a grooved shaft, groove outlined below.   There are also different cams, not really sure about them.
