1997 Silverado 2 Wheel Drive Extended Cab 350 (***Price reduced***)

1997 Silverado extended cab, 2 wheel drive, 5.7L, air, tilt, cruise, power windows, power locks, tach and gauges, aluminum wheels, tires have very low miles, 2" receiver hitch, gray interior bench seat with large centre armrest, spray in bedliner. It's a really nice truck!

We bought this truck 8 years ago with 126,000 km's on it, current mileage is 281,000km's. The truck looks like it is a low mile truck, it draws compliments constantly. Original paint looks great but has a few chips. A body guy told me the passenger front fender has been repainted but if that is true, it was in the first 3 years of the truck's life and if he hadn't told me I never would have known. This truck is NOT rusty and has never had rust repairs.

The truck is not safetied. I have no idea what it would need to pass a safety but I know everything works and it runs/drives very nice.

Negatives on the truck---

-Driver's seat shows wear. Originally the truck had buckets/console but I hate the low unuseable armrest on the consoles so I swapped in a seat from a different truck, and thus the wear on it.
-Windshield sometimes leaks top middle when it rains, ever since the glass was replaced about 4 years ago.
-Front bumper rub strip has a chip in it, rear bumper has a 1/4" chip in the chrome, clear coat issues on the wheels.

Asking $7900 and willing to talk turkey with any serious buyer!

Located in the town of Morris, 1/2 hour south of Winnipeg.

I don't have a data plan on my phone but if you would like more pictures please message me with an email address and I can email pictures to you.

Pulled the trigger on a Canyon? Our son is very happy with his 2022. Good luck with the sale. I think its safe to say that any vehicle thats passed on from your hands has been well cared for and honestly represented.

If you decide to part it out Carl, I can send a list of what I need.

First person who comes see it will buy it.

A truck of that vintage in such nice shape would be a constant target for theft down here in the GTA.

So much so, it would make you paranoid just owning it.

I had a guy on Facebook Marketplace post in my ad there that you can buy a decent diesel for that price.

Guess I might have to pull my ads or edit them to say "I'm not looking for an opinion on value, I'm looking for a buyer."

I don't care if he thinks that, I think that about lots of ads I see but at worst I'll say something like "that one will take the right buyer".

Carl, I have a very off colour joke that has a punch line of Thats Nice. You could just say Thats Nice in reply to idiots.

Thats a beautiful truck. If it was closer I would probably be interested. I always liked that series of trucks. When we got new 1988s at work I always liked the way they drove. I owned several but the southern Ontario winters were hard on them. The 89 diesel 1/2 ton I liked the most because of the fuel economy, 10 litres to 100 km all the time.

I have not sold this truck yet and a replacement for it has arrived. Now we need to sell this truck. Obviously my asking price is too high, so I've dropped the asking price and will certainly consider offers. We don't have room to keep it and it would suck for it to be sitting outside, it's used to a nice place in a climate controlled garage!

Boss just let me know they ordered a new 2023 Colorado for me. No more 6 cylinders just 2.7 turbo 4s. I guess the whole truck is different then the 2022s

Yup, and that is why we wanted to squeak in under the wire with a 2022. My nephew is our salesman, working for the 7th largest dealer in Canada and has been their highest volume salesman for I think 6 years now. He would have liked for us to buy a 2023 and I just laughed at him. I told him I'd worked way too many years at dealerships and seen how often the "new and improved" WASN'T!!!!!!!!

I'm sure you'll love  it but it won't shock me if you're glad you don't own it when it gets some miles on it.

Oh wow, that part I didn't even know. I just knew I didn't want a turbo engine.

Just buy a RAV4 if you want a 3500lb tow rating.
