Jay Leno

By now we're probably all aware of Jay Leno's serious injury yesterday,

Here's just a little more detail of what happened. Best wishes to him on his recovery, and to all, be careful, always...

Yeah even for a rich guy he seems like a regular dude. Certainly what happened to him could have happened to any of us.

Scary but I'm sure he'll make light of it.

Just the thought of any burn is awful. Sounds like it could have been far worse.

Ouch, made me cringe when I read it, burns are so painful!! I really like Jay, in all the articles and TV spots I've seen of him he seems like a real car guy, not just someone that has the money to buy all his dream toys. Wishing him all the best in his recovery.

I agree, Jay is a true car guy. Given his vast and eclectic automotive tastes, I surprised he hasn't broken his arm hand-cranking something from the brass era. It shows he's smart enough to know to retard the timing.

He's lucky there was someone there to respond immediately to the situation, as it was bad enough at that.

I'd love to send him a funny get well card but with a facial burn it might be more of a curse.

I saw jays stand up comedy routine before he took over for Carson, no idea when that was, last century for sure. In his standup comedy act he never used profanitys once. I gained a great respect for him being able to do comedy without a #%£# word.Quite unheard of these days. He was very personable with the audience in his act. Im sure his sense of humour would appreciate a funny card. I do believe his cup is always half full.Wishing him a speedy recovery

I watched a press conference by Jay's doctor and the burns sound nasty. He's had one skin graft procedure on his face and will need another "procedure". His burns were serious second degree with some approaching third. The burns were on his face, chest and hands. He was under the vehicle when it happened which would make it that much more scary having to clamber out.

I heard the press conference too but what stuck out was how the doctor described that Jay went around visiting kids, talking to them and encouraging them and hanging out cookies. What a guy! Kudos to Jay Leno and a speedy recovery with no permanent traces.

I believe he is generous in heart and spirit. That in turn helps healing. One can poison oneself with anger and bitterness that something happened, or one can focus on blessings and stay thankful. Especially today on the American Thanksgiving. But it is best done everyday.

Yup, he has always taken the high road, and that is good for you.
