I think this is the first one I've seen with the Oldsmobile 260. Fun fact: Only 4815 Ventura SJ 4 door sedans were made in 1976

I remember cars like that brand new. That car looks like one of them. Not often you see the SJ with the larger tail lights.

Fun fact: In '75 you could get an Oldsmobile 260 in a Pontiac Ventura, and you could get a 400 Pontiac in an Oldsmobile 98 (& 88 in U.S.). They also offered the Buick 350 in the Ventura but that's o.k. Pontiac would lend Buick their 301 later.

I like clean survivors like this, regardless of the number of doors. If a guy was bored with the weak 260 he could put it safely in storage and bolt in a 403 which physically looks the same. A 455 Olds has a taller deck so accessory brackets would be an issue. Weren't the inderpinnings basically the same as Camaro?

Yes, these cars shared much in the way of underpinnings with the F-body. That was great when it came time to develop the Police Nova. Here's part of an old Mechanix (sic) Illustrated test of a Police Nova.

I used to have a 403-powered Olds, but I got rid of the car when it cost me $50 to fill up (more like $200+ today).
