I think auto correct contributed to the error.

After I posted this, I kept reading. The story and the website in general were awful. Full of wrong info.

I just saw this article on "10 Classic American Convertibles That Will Bankrupt You" on Hotcars.com.

They list the Corvair saying this. Can you spot the problem?

Many car enthusiasts regard the Chevrolet Corvair as an easy to work on car, but that’s where the convenience stops.

A lack of parts supply means sourcing specific parts for this convertible will be hard as the well dries up over time. The Chevrolet Corvair had overheating issues, which can lead to replacing the entire cooling system and diagnosing other potential problems.

Actually I'm wrong. I guess replacing the fan and the belt would be not that major?!

Research done by a millennial, doing the best they can. The information they write is only as good as their sources.

396 or 389, the substantive point is a large powerful V8 was relatively inexpensive in the authors view.

Ray gets the gist of it. Semantics.  Still though if you are going to publish it then double check your facts and sources. You know how it is on the Internet, somebody says something, 40 people quote it and it then is accepted as gospel. We can all revise history right now wink

Hey, didn't Pontiac even fudge it when they passed a 336 c.i.d. V8 off as a 326 when GM corporate policy kept engines below 327 in  their senior compacts as the rule?

How abbot this Poster I found on line.

Someone did a bit of work creating this but I see at least one error

Of course, if you know me, you will spot it right away too.
