Quad headlight conversion, 1950's

I don't think I ever heard of or saw this before. Would love to stumble on one in a wrecking yard though!

The "Fly" look.

The housings must have been pretty big and clumsy looking.

Wow, I never thought of looking for a photo. I've been too busy defending the honour of 66 Pontiacs in another thread!

I kinda like the custom look of it actually...

LOL, you gotta think "custom" Mark. We can't always think that quad lights have to be vertical to look good!

I wonder if JC Whitney sells a single conversion for the 66?

First time I've seen that conversion.  The sales pitch is somewhat sketchy, in a funny kind of way.

The Ford conversion is less ugly than the Chevy, I have to say.

I agree. You could make it work on the Ford (though it's not as nice as the 58 Ford factory setup). But it's not for the Chevy, IMO.

I have never seen these quad headlight conversions, and am curious where that license plate is from.

On a related issue, many years ago I saw a conversion for 57 Chevy's, they had lighted hood rockets.   I've only ever seen it once, and curious if anyone else had seen them.

I think license plate is from Sweden

Most people probably know this but the fresh air intake vents are above the headlights on a 57 chevy, there is no grille below the windshield like a 55 or 56 chev.I wonder if those grilles were functional.
