I have a vintage supplemental heater for gasoline automobiles, runs on gasoline from your fuel supply, exhausts through the auto exhaust. Plumbed into the engine coolant to keep your motor warm, plus provides interior heat. Probably best to park it outside?
My 2015 Passat had an auxiliary electric heater that feeds the driver side while your diesel heater is warming up, quick heat.

As I understand it, the Dodge Cummins has used a similar system for decades. Mine (2003) uses a fuel heater rather than glow plugs, and it does interconnect with cabin heat/defrost.
