That quote was in the context of the larger single-headlight-system bulbs which a late sixties through mid seventies X-body, or early seventies F-body would have received at the factory.
I was wondering if anyone here knew of these differences between Canadian and USA 'Power Beam' headlamps.
Thanks, in advance for any insight that anyone might be able to offer.

I can't imagine differences in the lights as generally our lighting standards were aligned with the U.S. and we both have right-hand rule of road. Having said that, I do remember European cars (Peugeot, Renault) in the sixties with halogens & composite lights being allowed in Ontario when new, whereas in the U.S. they had to stick to their 1940 standards.
About 30 years ago I bought a set of Power Beams for a 4-lamp system from Bob Johnston Chev-Olds. They were in very dusty boxes. When I realized they had the old stock I returned to buy the larger combined high-low beam single unit headlights that would have come on contemporary GMs starting with the 1970 F-cars & the Monte Carlo. Unfortunately they had been sent off to Collins Automotive, but when I went to Collins Automotive the New-Old stock had already been sold. A set of Power Beams would be a nice detail in a 1970's GM restoration.
I'm going to have to dig out those Power Beams and have a good look at them.
I think that the poster in that other forum meant that there was a physical characteristic which was different for Canadian 'Power Beam' headlamps.
I agree that it will be a nice detail;
Since my car is in a very slow stage, I have been selling off extra stuff via kijiji, and buying more correct stuff for my car, correct headlamps, and date coded mirrors are some of the more recent acquisitions.

Here's an original Power Beam installed in it's original spot on a '70 Camaro SS396 L78 with 44,000 original miles.
It wasn't all roses as it spent part of it's life in the Florida elements, but it was a nice save with original stuff. Not over-restored, right down to the pitted original dual snorkel air cleaner (the LS6 kind). No gauges or spoiler, just 6-slot Rallys & a console. Plus an L78 & M21, 4.10:1 Positraction, and the original Don Allen Chevrolet cast emblem in the SS396-exclusive black rear cove.
thanks for this close up;
i will compare it against the ones I have to look for any physical difference.

I dont really care what the differences are;
I havent dug out the ones I got from you out to compare against each other, let alone against known USA bulbs.
I just wanted to know what the differences might be.
