Ha ha! Na, you could probably make a case for them engineering it. Just place an order for 10 cars and they would do up a CSL, something like 67-123.
I have pics of a derelict '67 Biscayne 2-door sedan B02 police car. It has factory buckets with Biscayne upholstery, no console (cops like gun racks & radio equipment there), a U14 full gauge cluster with clock & tach blanks! It was an L35 396 with a TH400, p/s & J52 brakes with police caps. It is especially neat because years before I found a picture of that car when it was a new Ohio Highway Patrol car. It was from a post on the impalass427 site, may it r.i.p. Come to think of it let me do some digging... Found them!
Here are a few pics of said Police Biscayne powered by an L35 396. Why not a 427? They pass everything but a gas station.
Here it is on the first day of duty... Note the resonators on the N10 dual exhaust.
Factory buckets without a console. If you are a government agency, a fleet buyer you get to order things special. Note the gauge cluster with a clock blank and tachometer blank.
Tenders have certain demands, like temperature gauges & ammeter, H.D. stuff, all bound by cost. So...
Somewhere at the end of the line minus the drive train.
And since I'm on about L35 Biscaynes, here's a gorgeous Oshawa-built L35/M20 strippo, Tahoe Turquoise with black vinyl interior.
Would the 14 x 6 wheels clear the disc brake calipers?
No way, would have to be 15" Rally's.
Yes, the only wheel they had for disc brakes on the B bodies until 1969 was the rally. If you didn't order rally wheels, you got bare rally rims with hub caps/wheel covers. I know under the full wheel covers the rally wheels were black. I wonder if there was a hubcap they put on the bare rally rim if you didn't order wheel covers? If so, would the wheel have been painted body colour then? I've only ever seen the disc brakes on a 67-68 B body with full wheel covers or the rally wheel option with the trim rings and small centre caps.

Mark, they rejected your order. Z04 is not available with the big block (actually it is redundant). I like the way you think. You will curse those 1st design shoulder belts though, as the buckle hung from the belt that hung from the headliner.
Putting together an order for a car that you can't get any more, who would do such a thing? Well Mark, I have a dreamed-up list of base 1967 Beaumont convertibles and Chevelle 300 convertibles in every colour. I already "have" an order for a '69 L72 Biscayne but they "won't" build it because I want the MA6 dual-disk clutch.
.
. Problem? What problem?

I take it the "Somewhere at the end of the line minus the drive train" meant that ti was never saved?

Got this from a fellow that had it since the 80s. Was told it was an old police car. Look at the roof, had a light on top ,has 140 mph speedo, vacuum trunk, bucket seats, spotlight, and was told when he got it there was a valve under the hood to give a motorist a gallon of fuel if they ran out on the road. That is gone along with the big block and transmission. There is Disc Drakes, and looks like a 12 bolt rear. This would make a great donor for a good body. Will help with loading if needed. Can be paid for in cash or a check with time to clear. Pay pal deposit
I don't know what it is but I have seen the term "needs restored" so many times I am beginning to think it is good English. Clearly it is not.

I think that someone putting together a cheap, fast sleeper might end up with a Laurentian like Mark proposed. Another might end up looking like the '68 Strato Chief rendering I did a dozen or so years ago. It was inspired by Doug from Brantford (68strato) who ordered such a car in '68 except his was Nightshade Green (some kind of Olds colour), not Verdoro Green.
T35 8.25-14 Special Nylon Red Stripe Tires (the only 14" redline option on '68 Big Cars)
U63 Deluxe AM Pushbutton Radio
U75 Power Rear Antenna
U80 Aux. Rear Speaker
The aim of the buyer was to beat a '68 Road Runner on the street and in price. Manual steering & manual 11" drums.
I think the rear antenna should be straight up on a power antenna, so I goofed.
There is a post on the site somewhere with vintage newspaper ads featuring Pontiac dealer stock. Some ads include a '67 Strato Chief 2-door 427 4-speed. A little street action used to be a reality when it wasn't so populous back in the day, and an enterprising salesman could cater to that sort of buyer. I can remember a LOT of rubber on the backroads between Nanticoke and Cayuga in the late 60s' / early 70s.
I went to see Doug? in Brantford to pick up a front stabilizer bar way back, and he sent me these images of his 68 Strat. He was really quite proud of it as it was quite rare, and had some stories to tell of the street action in it. I stood listening for about two hours. He had a low mile unrestored 68 396 Beaumont as well in the garage.
He was in the process of restoring the Strat. But I never heard from him again and he stopped posting shortly after.
There was another Doug who had one. Doug Crellen worked at Sinclair Pontiac in London in 1968 and the dealership ordered at least one (it may have been two) 427 Strato Chief two door sedans to compete against Central Chevrolet's 427 Biscaynes.
He purchased one of them - a 4 speed car to boot. He showed me a photo when I worked with him back in 2003-04
