That's my old car. He sent me a couple of photos. A few changes since I last owned it. It appears someone chipped the trim plate on the steering wheel. It was mint when I had it. The tissue dispenser (that housed the aftermarket stereo) and oil pressure gauge are gone. Headers, air cleaner and valver covers were added since I owned it. I also know the car was keyed when the folks who bought it from me owned it and according to them it got a "quicky" insurance repaint. It still has the aftermarket 8 track. I wonder if someone got it working?

Also it's not a "three owner" car. I was owner #5
Orig owner, his son, Ken, guy who bought it from Ken,  then me..... I think three owners after since this guy.

They painted those Canadian Pontiac only center caps and the trim rings!

Also appears they painted the argent on the taillight lenses black. disbelief

That paint will come off easily.

If they didn't sand the stainless first.

Well, an attempt was made at a new look for it. Not my cuppa, but it does change things, and I've never seen this done before. I do miss the stripe though.

Good eye Mark. No, it was the original matching numbers motor when I had it. All I did was install the L79 cam and an aluminum intake and Edelbrock carb. I guess on the bright side with the original engine likely gone one wouldn't feel too bad converting to a big block. I also think the minty 427 emblems disappeared at some point too.

Doesn't appear to have vortec style 8 bolt intake though, so probably just throttle body style heads.

That was the case. Most of the parts replaced were NOS. I talked to the son of the original owner. Those 427 emblems, body side moldings  (super rare as Laurentian didn't have rubber strip in the moulding), and  I believe bumpers, etc were all NOS. I should have bought it back when it was $6500.

To all who don't know,

The restoration of this car was the beginning of Canadian Poncho

All the stuff in this valuable data base is only here because Todd reached out to Canada and the world to get this car done.

The current owner who claims to know the car's past, only knows the tip of the iceberg.

Maybe, we are some kind of, very friendly, cult here wink

   But the knowledge is truly unprecedented.

Seems like most of the changes could be put back to the way it was fairly reasonably. I think it would be nice if you could buy it back as I know you really liked the car and the asking price is negotiable. Hope you get it back.
