Any current suggestions for bulbs? Looking for more light without bothering oncoming traffic, and I guess replace both high and low as the high bulb only operates on high? My 63 has H4 Hellas o the high low bulb, works perfect for high and low beam lighting. A bright backup bulb will help when you live in the country and have old eyes.

I installed Lumenex 3157 LED reverse light bulbs in my 94 and they are great. They are rated at 6000k however a lot of these bulb companies seem to rate their bulbs a little higher than actual output.
I see they are sold out at Amazon but you may be able to find them elsewhere.

Bright leds might help a little when backing up in the country. I had the same problem, zero lights at me place at night. Princess auto has a small 4 bulb set of LED's that I mounted under the rear bumper, they fit uptight to the bumper, easy to wire for a Chevy. THAT made the difference, about $30 when they are on sale.
