Beautiful car, wow. I'm thinking he's pretty optimistic with his price though? Or...?

I agree that it is probably overpriced, but it is a rare car. A low mileage 65 Impala without the big block would probably bring 25K US money. It would be nice to see it in a good collector car auction such as Mecum. Any car is only worth what someone will pay.

ORIGINAL Regal Red paint and 29,000 miles, 396 4-speed p/s p/b A/C! Not overpriced all things considered. Cars like that can't just be driven callously or they'll lose their survivor status soon enough.

I remember in Ancaster a '65 Impala SS in Evening Orchid with white buckets, 327 300-horse, Powerglide, factory wire wheel covers with spinners. In '80 a guy picked it up cheap and his wife used it year-round for the next 14 years, yet it was kept up and didn't look bad in spite of it. Still you can really tell the difference between a salt & no-salt diet.

Hagerty is typically on the high side for appraisals and they show concours condition for this car at $63,000.

IF he has documentation...BB 4spd, low miles WITH A/C. I don't think he's that far out of line price wise..Maybe 10% high, but you can't go UP in price. May be bought for $80K

With the pricing at this years Mechum auction, probably into $100k

My .02 cents

$89,000 USD = $123,305 CAD

Too rich for my blood.  Not a hobby for the poor (or the average person who has bills to pay), that's for sure.
