Never understand how somebody can do a major restoration and get the emblems wrong....no.

In '62 the '409' were below the crossed flags, in '63 above.

Is that a factory Mechanical Tach or just a lightbulb harness?

The photo supplied in drag car livery from 1962 shows the 409 above the crossed flags, pretty compelling evidence that the car left he factory that way.

One thing is certain, GM never put a paint job on the car like it has now, a classic 'over restored" example.

Ya, there are so many things wrong about this restoration of a historically significant drag car,  i wont even begin my rant!

Regardless of all the purported "Issues". It would be one heck of a badass thing to roll around in.

Always love the copper colour, it always takes me back to a prized Corgi Rolls Royce I hand painted when a boy. Some things just trigger those feelings, and this is one of them.

Of course any of us would drive this car and love it. Frankly though this style of Chevy Sedan just evokes that spinster down the street who only drove on Sundays.
