One of my dads cars

While making the 12 hour round trip to pick up the 66 Chevy II last Thursday my dad was telling me about cars he had way back when.

One in particular was a 1964 Pontiac Parisienne convertible that he purchased. It was ordered new by a doctor buddy of his. He wanted a yellow car, but apparently butternut yellow was the only colour available that was close enough. Nope. He wanted YELLOW. Ordered in a white car, had it stripped at the dealership and painted Lemon yellow. 327-275 HP 4 speed, black vinyl top with black leather interior. He had it for only a few months and took a job up North so he sold it to my dad. During the 2 years he had the car (trade in on a brand new 67 Chevelle 327-275 3 speed, ordered with 3:55 posi and super rare disc brakes) it went through numerous transmissions, 3 engines (2 under warranty) and 2 crossmember replacements (the one where the trailing arms connected on the rear end). He has a picture somewhere where it shows his car and 2 of his buddys cars at the dealership with the floor sections cut out to service the crossmembers. His 64 Parisienne, a 64 Impala 327-275 4 speed, and a 65 Impala 409 4 speed! pretty cool. Not so cool was the stories of missed shifts, first-second-first carnage, and clutch explosions.

this is only one of dozens of stories, but it was the lone Poncho one that I thought Id share.  Cheers

You wonder if that 64 still exists. I swear I've see that colour combo on one.
