Thinking about our members in the Kelowna area tonight. The fire situation is really bad there and has traveled quickly due to the dry conditions and gusty winds, not unlike what we experienced in NS back in late May.
I hope everybody is safe, and hopefully no property loss, though I know that some homes have already been lost in the area. Take care guys!
My daughter has a good friend that just moved there for a 2 year schooling course. She has her young Golden retriever with her. She was stopped by the police going back to her apartment. She said no way, jumped out of the friends car and ran full speed through the line to get to the dog.
She got him, came back, and the cops let it go at that.

Thinking about everyone in B.C and N.W.T-can't understand in Yellowknife why they didn't turn that highway into a one way road-they do it going into the Nascar races in Michigan-it is only a 2 lane road-in the morning the highway is one way only and once the race ends it is one way only exiting-years ago there would be more than 140,000 people on the roads-now maybe only 50,000 on race day-could of got twice the amount of vehicles out in half the time waiting in line-stay safe everyone!!!
Keep on Cruising!!!
Dave
Yes Kinda nasty out here in BC right now. Thinking about those who are effected. Luckily out here on the West Island have been mostly
ok, with no loss of Houses that I know of. Has been a few fires though, maybe one gay of rain for the last 2 months and has been HOT.
Stay safe out there.
