1966 Pontiac dash including cluster, heater control and wiring harness

This is a 1966 dash from a Custom Sport buckets/console automatic. I say that because that makes the wiring harness unique vs a column shift car. The harness is very good but not perfect. The only issue with the harness that I see is one brown wire is cut and I don't know what it does, so it would need to be traced on a wiring diagram. The connector for the harness to plug into the harness that comes up from the console is intact.

The radio opening has the horizontal chrome bar cut out as guys often did to put in a stereo.

The headlight switch and connector look perfect, the ignition switch connector looks perfect and it includes a rear speaker switch.  The fuel gauge, ammeter and clock are faded, so I would not count on them being working.

$50 plus shipping from Manitoba.

I'm willing to strip it down and ship what you want if you don't want the whole thing shipped. I will sell individual pieces from it. Because I own a pair of 66 Pontiacs as drivers I'm not opposed to keeping it either!

I'll be listing more stuff but feel free to PM me with requests for parts from the car.

Does the ignition switch work? Is it for sale?

I can't prove that it works because according to the seller the starter would only "click". (Could maybe have been due to the 283 being seized!)

Yes, it's for sale and it actually has 2 brand new keys with it. The keys were lost so he took the switch to a locksmith who removed the old cylinder, installed a brand new cylinder, cut 2 new keys and installed it in the switch.

There should be a part # on the backside, as you know, 3 digits. I think 837???
The cylinder will slide out with a paper clip inserted in the small hole, if my memory is right??

Are you thinking it's the same as 66 Chevy? If so, that is not the case.

I didn't go check it but this one will be a 1116675 with "675" cast into the housing I'm betting.

Correction....
I think it will be a "673" ( sup 1116686). It fit most "B" body cars that year...

One bump up for this and a price drop to $50 as well. If I can't get $50 I'm going to break it up and sell individual items if there's any parts someone wants. I just sold an ignition switch connector the other day for $20 by itself, and this one is good too. (They are tough to find in nice shape, often they are melted).

This wire harness is for a console car, not easy to find in good shape.

I know. If I don't sell the whole thing in a day or so I'm going to strip it and list what I don't want to keep as spares. With a pair of 66's here I don't mind having spare parts. I can't just go to any old auto wrecker any more and pick up 66 Pontiac parts.

Check on shipping for dash and door panels please Carl.

Complete dash will be expensive but I can check that if you like.

I could always strip the metal dash piece bare because you won't likely need it anyway will you? I would just ship all the components in a much smaller box.

I'll check on the cost for the panels. Finding a box might be a challenge but somebody will have something.

Ok good.

Do you need a 66 Pontiac frame?

Or a 66 Beaumont disc brake frame from Brian?

If you are selling the wiring harness separate, I'm interested in it.

Ok, it sounds like Kevin is interested in the whole thing but if he's not I will sell the harness to you. We'll wait until he sees this and go from there.

No I didn't but Chev and Pontiac don't share a switch in 1966.
