Saw a Purple 1968 beaumont custom convertible, black top, looking very original(except the color) driving on rt90 today. stock hubcaps i think, looking very, how should i put this: "old lady garage find-ish" but the color of it was way too bright to be royal plum, it was more a mopar plumcrazy. never seen it before, anyone know it?

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH. The other one has a longer roof.
it sounds like a car that showed up at pony corral maybe 10 years ago- i remember talking to the owner/driver - he indicated that it was his mothers car bought in 1969
she apparently loved the mopar purple colour and got the car repainted that color- i think she worked at Birchwood motors
as i remember other details of the car i had the stock 68/69 beaumont wheelcovers and original rims on it- the interior was black
only saw the car once that time - trying to find pictures which i know i took
How old was the paint? There was a 68 convertible in purple back in the 80s and early 90s. I had an opportunity to buy the car, it was driven on the street then, but very infrequently. I think it needed some rust repair. Pretty sure it was a long time owner at that time.
