1968 Beaumont Custom 327 4 speed Survivor

Hi All,

I bought this car early this year as a keeper- but my dream car (68 Nova L78) has now fallen on my lap and I need the space for the Nova project.  This is a very special car and I want to ensure it goes to a great home, which is why I come to this forum first.

Many of you may recognize it - it was Bruce McInnis' old car, was the feature car in July 2011 here on CP.

I bought it from his son in Lethbridge  - a great guy who wanted to see it preserved as well.   It really is a 1 of 1 being a fully documented, matching numbers, with PoP and I wanted to preserve it - and drive it.

A little about the car:

Matching Numbers drivetrain

327/ 4 speed M-20

Jade Gold exterior, Ivy Gold interior.

Original paint, interior, vinyl top.  Engine paint looks to be refreshed.

Comes with 2 folders of documentation including GM of Canada docs, original Protecto-Plate, Hot Rods and Classics Feature Car article April 2008

2011 Beaumont Survivor award winner (plaque on dash but no idea where it is from).

Ivy Gold Camaro front seats are installed (previous owners did so to preserve the original buckets) - original Beaumont seats come with the car.  Same with the original '68 full hubcaps - they come with the car (dog dish ones are installed).

When I got the car it needed a bit of work/TLC.

I removed the drag shocks and rear lift and restored the car to factory ride height.

I removed amplifiers, extra under dash lights, hour counter, 8 track, cassette player, vintage tach (the factory in dash one works!), exaust cut out wiring (that didnt work) and about 50 lbs of wiring and switches that went with it.

I replaced the battery cables with proper new '68 clamp style ones (the ones that were on it were a fire hazzard and mangled.

I replaced the gas tank venting hose and filters with new ones as it was not vented properly and was being pressurized.  Good as new now.

Removed all attached items to the center console - returning it to factory.

New plugs, air filter, new gas.  Starts right up - and is a joy to cruise anywhere.

The paint and vinyl top are original - there are a few dings, road rash (from gravel roads at sometime in its life) on the underside of rear quarters.

The day 2 reverb unit is out of the car but I saved it and will go with the car as well.

I love this car.  It is unique - and turns heads more than any other car I have.  I want to ensure it goes to a good home - and would love to see it preserved and enjoyed.

Happy to send pictures/video, answer any questions anyone may have.

$45,000 CAD.

Really love the car too! If only I hadn't fallen more in love mid mid year big block Corvettes over the summer.

Bruce and the Beamont lived on Vancouver island for a while. He also owned a Comet Cyclone. Curious as to his whereabouts/ well being?
