1966 Power vent window testing

As with my other thread about power locks, I also plan to install power vent windows in my 66 Grande Parisienne that I bought from Ken this year. I got the motor/gearbox assemblies from a member here from Oakville Ontario.  Many of you know him. He owns a 65 Laurentian 2 door post recently purchased from another member here.

Anyway, I choked and ordered a reproduction switch ($$$) because they are impossible to find. Temporary wiring to test confirmed as is always the case with these, the gears in the gearboxes are stripped. They are made of some sort of alloy, way too soft. Thankfully, Hydro-E-Lectric limited out of Florida reproduces metal gears, although they are currently out of stock until next month.

Such a cool option, I can't wait to have them installed!
