68 Fullsize Power Brake Booster/Reservoir question

Hi guys,

I've got my drivetrain moved over to the new frame and the mechanic painted the engine and tranny as well as other items.

However, other parts don't look as good now. What would you suggest for replacing the power brake booster and reservoir ?
What is the deal with these cadmium coated brake boosters ? Did they come that way from the factory ?

I want under my hood to look factory when I open it.

Regards, Scott (LandShark ...)

In most of the BB 68 B CP engine images I have, most appear to be of the plated 11" DelcoMoraine variety.

I like the look of a plated booster over the black one.

As far as the master, I've always tried to paint them epoxy black. A cast grey paint would be better, but it really needs to be epoxy as rattle can will be gone at the first brake fluid drip. I guess you could let it rust like they all did.

The rebuilt boosters that we get out west are normally grey in color, not black.   Getting one in anodized gold is quite expensive.

Wait, didn't they use black painted reservoirs through '68 on the full-size Canadian built cars with drum brakes? With a little Delco decal on it. You'd see them on cars with body-colour firewalls.
Disk brake cars and 1967+ A-body cars used the gold iridescent plating on the reservoir.
