UPS Rockauto fees????

Package arrived today, no extra fees so far. Package was damaged- the Rockauto magnet was bent over on one corner. It is a spectra premium rad for a Honda, it has a few bent fins but probably will not leak. I filed a claim saying damaged, could I see if it leaks and then ask for a replacement? Not an option, but Ill be getting a refund I guess for fixing it myself, either that or get a full refund and replacement.

I'd say you jinxed yourself with all the worrying.
You expect a full refund & replacement? I'd say it's one or the other, not both.

I bought an alternator from Rock Auto a couple of months ago and it was completley wrong. When I requested a refund they said I'd have to pay for shipping which turned out to be almost the price of the alternator. I still have the alternator...

Return damaged rad, refund, order another rad, pay for it. Including shipping, rad was half the local prices or Amazon that I could get locally for the same spectra premium rad.

Communication seems to be with AI/robot.

Outside box was jammed on one end, looked like it was dropped. Inside box was damaged, one of the white corner pads was in the bottom of the box.
I had a damaged rad before from parts avatar, the rad was bent/kinked, took about 2-3 weeks for a refund after shipping it back. Had to either wait for the return to be processed before theyd ship a replacement or pay for another rad for it to be shipped now, then wait for the refund. I sent them pictures, you could see the bend.

Kept it, didnt want to wait for a replacement. Thought it was a safe bet- and I could return if it leaked. I contacted them to let them know early it was damaged.

When I've run into trying to ship to a US postal box and paying with a Cdn credit card refusal, I've found a way around it by paying with Paypal.

Be wary of Paypal. They get scammed a lot, some other websites this has been a topic, some friends and I have stopped using it.....

Here's the story from just last week...I ordered apart from Jegs. I noticed my card was about to expire the same month. I figured Jegs would decline the card, they didn't. Part was shipped (that's another story) So being proactive I called my CC company to get them to send me a new card. NP they said it will be there inside 2 weeks. The new card arrives, it has to be activated by phoning the CC company. I don't do that, to busy at the time.

So the end of the month is coming, better check on the CC balance and pay it off. Check the balance, way off!!! Look at the transactions, 5 one day, 6 the next by UBER. To the tune of $400+ USD. I call the CC right away and tell them the card is sitting on my end table, with the activate sticker on it and still glued to the mail.  Of course disbelief on their part, but I live in Canada and ALL the Uber charges were in the USA. While I'm talking to the attendant, 2 more Uber charges show up on my screen!!

ALL through PAYPAL. Use your own discretion, but I deleted my Paypal info immediately.  Get an American CC or find another retailer that will take a Cdn CC.

why not use Parts Avatr

I have used them a few times and they are great.   I wish they had a simpler lookup like rock auto though

 I just tried them.

Wow that search sucks.
