Pontiac 428 Engine Build advice

So I want to build my 428 engine to keep my mind off the car for now.

its a 68 Pontiac block, needs to be bored and honed.
and it has 1968 #16 heads. With screw in studs.

-what dish pistons would you recommend to keep it pump gas? Is there any Canadian source for the pistons?

-Im thinking to upgrade the rods?

- Im thinking rebuild the #16 heads with new valves, springs, etc.

-what cam? Roller or flat tappet? And Im thinking 068 spec cam.

Often Pontiac engine compression is adjusted by using different heads with different size chambers to raise or lower compression. Are you bent on keeping the 16's?

Your stock rods are fun, you're not going drag racing.

The 068 cam is a very nice cam. Great choice, keep it driveable, especially with a heavy car like your's. You don't want too much cam.

Thats what I heard about the heads. So do I just go with the edelbrock?
For the cam, would you go with Roller or Flat tappet?

What compression to you get with the Edelbrock heads?

I'm old school and never do roller but I'm betting most guys will tell you to buy roller.

They feature 87cc combustion chambers designed to maximize performance while using less expensive, low-octane fuel with a streetable 9.5:1 compression ratio

They also have a 72cc head
