For 1970 ( and I presume the same for 1969) the difference is where the return line attaches.
On the small block it goes into the back of the reservoir, whereas on the big blocks it goes into the side of the reservoir.

No difference re shafts & rag joints on b-body cars.

Just the A body due to clearance issues that B body doesn't have.
