66 beaumont wiper motor

My wiper motor may be pooched. Power to all the contacts including the switch but zero sound or action from the motor.  Motor is warm after a few minutes but doesn't seem to work. Suggestins please.

Thinking.. you have power to motor..heat and no action. Motor is pooched/stuck. Long shot but thinking these motors had brushes and the brushes could be worn down and just a poor contact. Used to rebuild starters with the same problem.. brushes worn down and armeture would get gummed up. Maybe disconnect from firewall and see if works with no load.

On my old wiper motors, take them apart and clean out old grease was always the first step to a non working wiper motor. There was a troubleshooting procedure in the shop manual. Ive only worked on units up to 1963 though.

Newport Engineering

A little expensive but certainly worth the money when you can control the speed of the wipers.

Silly question ... will this Impala wiper assembly work on our 65 Pontiacs?

Go to rockauto.com for a replacement for about $100.
