The Adventure Takes a Better Turn (insert happy emoticon here)

Hi Everyone!

I recovered my car yesterday and had it delivered on a flat deck to another shop, where I am looking forward to a fair and excellent quality completion of my restoration. Thank you to everyone who offered information and supportive advice, all of it was appreciated and much of it, very helpful. I have several people looking over the invoices and communication from the previous shop and have met with a lawyer who offered to help me with my litigation process if I decide to do that. If anyone can offer their thoughts on what is a reasonable cost for the work I had done, I will be glad to add their opinion to my files for the future..

Mike Webb, from Mike's Quality Bodyworks, in Maple Ridge, BC seems to be a great guy. I will have plenty of opportunities to stop in and check out the progress and will post updates if people are curious. I have had this car for nearly twenty years and always hoped to restore it. The first shop I chose didn't work out that well but I believe I am in good hands now.

Thank you again for the support I find here. It's been stressful and upsetting to be in the position I was in with a circle of friends and family who really don't "get it" about the car. It's just an old car without any modern conveniences to some, but I am holding and preserving a little slice of Canadian history.

Heather

Fantastic!!! Sounds like you found the right guy! Sorry I couldn't help out more. Just glad you found a shop/guy that will look after that beauty car! Keep us posted on the progress as we all like build threads and progress updates. All the best to you and the Beaumont build.  Jim

As far as the picks you sent....I am dumb founded as what he has charged. Can PM me for an estimate of what I would have billed.. not that it holds much.

I have some photos of the work done in the latest shop but am not sure about how to post progress. Which topic should I use and is there more of a 'blog' format for some of the forums?

I would say continue this thread with the pictures.

Here is a link to a video to help with how to do that.
