B.C can't pay 2 million every time some pup prangs an overpass, and 6 incidents since 2021 by the same trucking company is a sure-fire way to get a response from government licensing.
Essentially that company is forced out of business, or perhaps it will arise from the ashes as a new firm.
In a way I feel sorry for them, because they cannot control everything a driver does out on the road. Even if they fire the offender, the company still has the blemished record.

They can control who they hire and what attitude they instil in their employees , this company has more than their share of these incidents. Plenty of good well run oversize load haulers out there that never hit overpasses. If you cant or dont want to use a measuring tape, you shouldnt haul oversized freight. This type of company likely pays low wages and skimps on proper training costs and equipment maintenance. They give good companies a bad name.
