Well I don't have a crystal ball, and I know I'll step on some toes here (cause some guys like to have the newest of the new) but one thing I learned over the 40 years working as a dealership employee-----let the manufacturer work the bugs out any time they come out with a new model. If we hadn't been able to buy our Canyon as a 2022 model we would either have bought a slightly used 2022 Canyon or waited a few years to buy a new one.

I'm sorry to hear this is happening. GM doesn't need more grief.

I agree with this.  I haven't bought a lot of new cars, but every time I did, I waited until the last model year of the cycle for that very reason.  By the time that a new model is due out, they finally have all the bugs worked out on the current one!

Our son waited 3 months to get a new 22 Canyon V6, loves it no problems.

So far, 40,000 km in we love ours too. Couple of minor hiccups plus it has the typical GM differential whine (on this one it shows up about 68 mph and isn't very loud but I can hear it) but nothing major. Very comfy, good on fuel, pulls my loaded car trailer in high gear at highway speed if it's not windy, so I'm pretty impressed.

I have more complaints about the dealer with them not acknowledging the diff whine than I have complaints about the truck itself!

One time only the fuel gauge dropped to "E" and the low fuel alert came on only 50 miles after filling up. Of course they couldn't duplicate that when I took it in to get checked.

That is good to hear. I hope it stays that way! We sure like the 2022.
