1973 454 it has DAB 8191 cap u main bearings have 0-35 stamped in there also no info out there on DAB bearings looks like they dissapeared in the 80s i think there 35 oversize is that a thing? 35? THX!
these dab bearings are very old im thinking my cheesy cambodian tire calipers are sketchy at best but i think crank has not been ground on the rods and not to sure on the mains however i dont think they were ground down .035 this marking is on the front counterweight of the crank,to me it reads 010 grind on the mains guessing the rods are standard does anyone know what the E means? in guessing rod ends?

It might be best to borrow or buy a micrometer? I learned the hard way about assuming crank journal sizes back in the 80s. A 283 with the mains cut 010 runs real nice but when it warms up that little noise in the bottom end means yank it out and put the proper size bearings in. Never again, now all cranks get measured before I buy bearings!

you are correct a digital caliper does not cut the bill here! for sure it had standard con rods those old dab bearings are unable to trace! and yes dont want to hurt this crank (STEEL)
