Help with Decoding

Hey everyone!

New guy here, my grandpa rebuilt our 57 Laurentian in the 90s and gifted it to me on my 16th birthday! Im looking for some help to decipher all the info about the car so I can know how it rolled out of the factory and hopefully gain some history on the car! Im very green to this process

being left handed I always managed to get the photos sideways.  Todd or a moderator usually flips and expands them.

Here you go. The software this forum runs on is circa 2008 and doesn't have the smarts to detect the orientation of a photo.

I'm trying to decode this using Catalog of Canadian Car ID Numbers but immediately run into a problem with the style number. I suspect this is a misprint in the book.

style 2019D = not listed ( they list a Laurentian 4 door as style 2069D )
body 1931 = consecutive production number
paint 2512 = suspect its dover white over sierra gold metallic ( really not sure of this. )
trim 911 = ?

Serial number 72019D621470
7 = year =1957
2019d = see above
6 = 6cylinder 261 cu in
21470 = sequential production number.

list price = $2981
weight 3290 lbs
manufactured Oshawa, ON

I really like the looks of your car. tell us more about it.
Lots of friendly Poncho guys here who are more than willing to help.

You may also be able to get documents on your car from GM Vintage Vehicle Services ( ggogle them ) for a fee. Not sure how detailed the info for 1957 is.
