RE: My Not So New Radio Show!

I listened to a bit of it before I had to go for wings and beer with the airtanker crew (Yeah tough life!) and it was show number 4 from the spring of 2023. I don't like to listen to me talk but the music was superb!

Yes. Would be fun to have a CP coffee night with Ken babbling in the background!

You bet Ill be back for the Canada day show! Needless to say it will be all Canadian music. More than that I haven't figured out yet.  And yes i babble very nicely  according to my long suffering wife.

Just so you know i will be gone again for two weeks in July after the July show and then we'll see.

Sorry guys, just tested twice for Covid today and the tests show positive which would explain a lot the last few days.  The show will be a repeat. Back when I can be.

Hi Carl thanks for asking.  Spent the best part of last night at the hospital. Appears that i have  had some internal bleeding for the last week or so. Wasn't  just Covid I guess. Getting checking in and checked out  today with a couple of cameras (if you know what i mean) Should be on the mend in a day or two.  Still no new shows right away as i was supposed to go back the the Airtankers on Wednesday so as soon as I  am discharged I  likely will head out for that, if I can. I'll keep you posted if you want.

I really have to talk to the station about the repeats though. it appears they mangled me again.

Hi Guys again, sorry about the show but life gets in the way sometimes eh?

Here is a summary of my recent events and prognosis of me and the show.

June 22, working in Edson with the airtankers. Ate an appetizer at the pub, Up all night with food poisoning. Had strong suspicions i was bleeding inside.  I wont go into details.

June 23 - July 1, I tried to fake it enough to stay at work but had to go home early.  Didn't get any better at home so finally checked into local hospital .  They gave me some hemoglobin and other stuff and wanted to get a look inside there.

July 2. Was scheduled for the multi- probe job  but got cancelled after i did the prep. Some of you will know what that involves and it ain't pleasant.

July 5  Have to take a trip to Edmonton. once  that's done and result checked, we'll see but already much better. Now i have to try to balance my work schedule  so I can make for up lost time so really not sure really when the show will  be live again.  Soon as possible though!

Anyway it's been a good experience in many ways as got a pass out till 1800 tonight and my home has and wifey have never looked sweeter.

Apparently one of the side effects is excessive sentimentality which my wife says to knock off.

Hi Carl I'm actually back at work withe the airtankers in Whitecourt for today so the show will be another repeat. Talked to the Manager and it will be a  different one than last week but don't know which. Hopefully not the Christmas show.  Cheers!

As much as we want the show back, it's more important that you are back to work. That sounds great!

I know it was a replay but I'm glad I checked. It must have been one that I missed last year.

Hi guys I'm still back at work with the tankers so this show will also be a repeat.  I will get a hold of the manager to make sure it wont be the same one as last week. Enjoy if you can! Next Monday should be a new one!

What do you have for us tonight Ken?  Fresh, new envigorating, thought provoking (and so on and so on) content? Or boring old reruns?

Well now that I'm back to my important job of entertaining old men from my usual hobby of flying around Alberta dumping red stuff on fires I can say there will be a new show tonight and it will be pretty much all Canadian!  Now if I hadn't caught a summer cold from the pilot that shared the same cockpit as me for the last week, i would really be ready but growly ken will have to do!

Shoot, seems like you either do a cold or Covid, no in between!

Looking forward to hearing your growly old voice live on the air again.

I may even listen to the show in the garage while I work on an old yellow Pontiac that I finally have a bit of time for again (after it gathered dust for most of the summer)

Sadly I missed the first 20 minutes or so tonight but what I heard was great! I love the Canadian content shows.

And thanks for playing Lunatic Fringe, WHAT A SONG! Somehow it had been forgotten on my Spotify but it's sure there now.
