Had a bit of a scare today. Went outside and saw a lot of black smoke coming from the area of my outbuilding. As it turned out unfortunately the folks who live across the road lost their garage. It was a nasty fire and for a while there it looked like it might spread to the house which was only about 20 feet in front of it. I don't really know the owners but I'm sure it was a huge loss. It got me thinking it would be nice to have a smart smoke detector in my building as I'd never know if there was a fire until it was much too late. It'd be nice to get notifications on my phone if smoke was detected. Surprisingly there aren't many on Amazon. Kidde offers one that's available at Canadian Tire. That's about the only one I see. 

Anyone know of any other good ones available here?
