A mini Pontiac show (4 cars)


My driveway the other day. My two, the 65 SD you will know as a former feature car here and a friend's 66 Grand Prix 53,000 mile car.

OK, 3 Canadian cars + one American car.

3 coupes and one convertible.

3 B-bodies and one A-body.

but who cares biggrin

No matter how you sum it up,

1 beautiful clear day to enjoy 4 great cars.

This is the stuff that keeps us going.

Nice cars, Carl!  GM of Canada and PMD really had it going on in the mid sixties!

It strikes me how easy it would be for the layman to assume the Grande Parisienne and the Grand Prix are the exact same car, yet they are so different underneath the skin.  I would love to be able to go back in time and see all the engineering that went on behind the scenes, to make it all happen, and to still be able to sell the cars at the pricepoint that they did.  Pontiac style at an almost Chevy price - no wonder Pontiacs were often best sellers in Canada during those years.  It's quite an accomplishment if you think about it.
