Likely sold if a legit ad. Seller has been on Kijiji 1 day.

BS. Messaged the seller and got 1 word responses, then no communication after I asked for an address to view it. Likely looking for someone to send a deposit and then vanish. All too common these days. 6k is too good of a deal if its even half ways decent

Thought it was cheap. The name on the ad I thought I recognized, I messaged and asked if I knew them, no reply. Too good to be true.

Maybe it has already been purchased, but they havent taken the ad down?  I would suspect, if its legit, that they have been bombarded by every flipper who continually scans kijiji for deals to take back to Cape Breton and make some cash after doing minimal work to clean it up and get it running.

Im thinking that if it were a scam, you would have been contacted with an offer that you cant refuse.

Edit: for some reason the board doesnt want to display apostrophes or quotation marks.

Funny you mention Cape Breton Mark. That area seems to have a disaproportionate amount of old cars there.

Anecdotally, over the years Ive noticed a lot of cars that were for sale on the mainland often end up later in the for sale ads in Cape Breton.

Theres no data or science behind this, but my theory is that although there are many more cars on the mainland, the number that are for sale in Cape Breton seem to be disproportionate to the population, leading me to believe that a lot of flippers in CB scan the ads for deals on the mainland in order to flip them later (I was actually sniped by a Cape Bretoner who offered the seller $500 more than my handshake deal and was on his way back to the island with the car, before I could pick it up after work, which doesnt say much for the value of a handshake these days, either).

I suspect that there are socioeconomic reasons for this, but again just a gut feeling.

The fact that you have noticed this independently feels like it bolsters my theory a little.
