Courtesy lights modern bulb?

Howdy folks,

I just realized I have a corner light out and its an old GE1195 bulb. Has anyone swapped to a modern equivelant or is it better to stick to the original.

Thanks!

LEDs are brighter, cooler, and draw less power, but youd want to switch both sides so they match. I did my dash lights this winter.

If you're talking about a turn signal bulb, if you install LED bulbs you may have to switch to an electronic flasher to prevent hyperflash.
