Hello from Calgary

Hi my name is Shawn. Thanks for allowing me access to the site. I have a 1969 Beaumont Custom 2 door hard top. Im a HD mechanic by trade and been a gear head as long as I can remember. I blame my dad, he had a 1968 Chevelle 396 SS when I was a kid and have wanted a muscle car of my own ever since. I purchased a 1969 Beaumont a few years back from a very close friend who passed away after a long battle with cancer. We had grown up in the same community, went to the same schools but never met until we were in trade school And ended up working together at a local truck dealer. We became fast friends and spent many hours working in the garage after work mostly drinking beer lol. I joined the site partly to be part of the community and partly to keep his memory alive. He owned the car for over 20 years and only drove it to local car shows so its in very good shape for a 50 plus year old car. Im in the process of replacing the original steering, suspension and converting to disc brakes. One day I hope to fully restore the car to honour his memory.

Welcome here, great story. And I see Todd is wanting to feature your car so I'm looking forward to that!

Nice story, thanks for sharing.

There used to be a good number of 69 Beaumont's around, but I rarely see any these days - it's good to read that one is still lurking :)
