Dangerous Lower Control Arm Cracks


I just saw this article in Hemmings and felt it was critical to pass along here.  The article says they found serious cracks in 64 - 67 A-body lower control arms https:

The cracks can develop naturally over many thousands of miles.

I still have the original A-arms on my '67, and 1 ball joint is original. Sometimes the act of replacing ball joints can stress the A-arm.

Check them. There may be no problem, but if there is...
