Looks like its from a Fab shop out of BC.   they probably aren't "beaumont people",  just "car people" that happened to use a beaumont as a platform to build a race car out of.

I thought it was cool that they drove that car coast to coast until i read that it was modified and had an LS motor.  So basicly they drove a "brand new" car coast to coast

Would have been impressed if it was a stone stock 283 all original one instead.

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH.  The other one has a longer roof.

Its a great race, Ive seen cars going through picket fences in brigus and a $1 million Ferrari that missed a turn and was submerged in salt water. Another time, a very race prepared and stickered 911 wide body went over a high road crown at an intersection and pancaked itself out of the race. Saw a right hand drive Aussie vintage mustang fastback in the race plus a $1 million 1930ish supercharged vintage race car, the driver and navigator had to wear leather helmet and goggles in the open car.

IMG_1163.jpegI just returned from Newfoundland for a holiday. We were visiting cape spear and when we were ready to leave I spotted a black Beaumont in the parking lot. Went over to have a look and it was this car! I chatted with the owner and couldnt believe how fast he was able to drive coast to coast! My son and I signed the hood and wished him well on the return to the west. Very fortunate circumstances to just happen upon this car.

You are a lucky man to see a beautiful Beaumont in the sun at Cape Spear, usually foggy there. One year I was there when there was a large iceberg grounded near the mouth of the harbour, created its own fog.
