brake pads on the 2023 Colorados are wearing out so fast they are out of stock on them. Because they have a wear indicator built into the pads no one makes after market ones. one of our trucks has 70,000 kms on it and he went in for his 5th time for brakes. He was told no pads to replace. fleet  guy said drive it anyhow. At 70,000 on mine the indicator came on for brake replacement. I have 81,000 on it now with no promblems. all this said, this is the best stopping truck i have ever driven. even pulling my dump tailer

So far we sure love the truck and sadly, even though it won't be 2 years old until November it already has 51,000 km on it. 

I hope to do the "reveal" this week on our new daily driver which will help keep the miles down on the Canyon.

Our son would like to buy it in a year or two but man, I've read of a lot of electrical woes with the 23 and 24 Canyons. Other than brakes, how has your's been?

Mine is approaching 15 months old and I have 81,000 km on it. It has a lot of power for a four-cylinder, so it's not lacking there. The only thing is that this has the smallest horsepower engine even though they are all 2.7. Its tow rating is only 3500 pounds. I have towed over 5000 with it and it seems to be able to handle it. OK but not recommended by the handbook for 81,000 The truck must be driving true as the tires show very little where I'm figuring I might even be able to get close to 200,000 out of them for factory tires. That is really good.

Because this is just a work truck, it does not have any fancy options but did come with navigation for Work purpose. It goes in on Tuesday to have the Remote start installed I do not wanna go through another winter without it. 700 bucks out of my pocket because company will not pay for it. it also will get the latest three recall repairs done. It was in once before they have three done the worst is that a sensor viewing the road has to be replaced three times driving down the highway. I've had the brakes just slam on automatically and I'll tell you it is scary, I was able to get into the settings and delete it to stop that as Carl said there's been electrical issues something to do with the daytime driving lights blinking coming on and off. I have not experienced that but they are going to do the recall.

mine has been great-love the truck-couple recalls but nothing major at all-brakes are great.I have 40 k on mine already-nicest mid size truck by a long shot out there.Drove Tacomas since 1982 every 2-3 years because of mileage.Truck is quiet and smooth-looks great as well.Canyon AT4 full load truck.Buddy finally got his new Tacoma-drove it -glad I bought the Canyon.

One of the reasons I was hesitant to replace my daily driver was the new one has a traffic detection function. I didn't want it to slam on the brakes for a ghost and cause a chain reaction collision on the 401. Then I discovered I could switch it on or off. Sold!

 

2.7 litre, that is a big four. How is it for smoothness?

They finally got stock on brake pads for my truck. Just the front pads are $369. That is crazy.
