1969 Grande Parisienne Bucket Seats

Anyone out there have the details for interior trim codes for the 1969 interiors? I have seen the trim combination charts for Impala and American pontiacs. How many color choices were available for 1969 Grande Parisienne bucket seats? Was it black only?

Thank you so much. Your resource is gold. I wonder how many 1969 Grandes were made with red bucket interior? Anyone ever see this?

As an FYI the 1969 Grande Parisienne used 1969 Chevrolet Caprice seats & upholstery but Pontiac Bonneville door panels. That pairing in itself is enough reason to assign unique interior trim codes.

The 1969 Parisienne is totally Chevrolet Impala inside, except for the dash & column (& shroud emblem).

Does that book happen to list exterior paint/interior trim combinations and perhaps a list of colors available and the two tone possibilities??

Unfortunately it doesn't. The only thing that I know for sure would is the order guide. I don't even know if the sales brochures that would have been in the showroom would have that info.

I didn't find it in the 1969 pocket facts. There is no list of color combos or even all paint options. From some of the exterior two-tone painted cars I have seen, they may have followed the Potiac paint schemes.
For example. you could order a 1969 Chevelle or Impala with a gold lower and white upper. Pontiac allowed gold lower and a white or black upper.

Agreed with Shrike. Still, and it seems especially in Canada, 2-tone combinations were were being ordered and approved that were outside of what the 1969 chart that Shrike posted. I do remember a couple of Oshawa 69s in particular that were "off the chart". Hey, it was only paint, and an easy way to offer something uniquely Canadian.

One was a 1969 Biscayne 2-door sedan in Cortez Silver (Palladium Silver) with a Burgundy 2-tone on the roof. It always stayed with me and I kept my eyes peeled for another example.
The reciprocal combination was apparently available as well, since there is a past feature car here, a '69 Pontiac 2+2, that was Burgundy with a Palladium Silver roof.

There was also a mint original 1969 Impala Custom Coupe in Hamilton that I used to see for years starting about 1981 IIRC. It was Dover White with a Burgundy 2-tone roof. It also had bright red bucket seat interior, 327 Hydramatic, 14" wheels (drum brakes). I saw it again back in 1998 still mint but repainted solid Dover White.

I saw a weird 1968 Pontiac 2+2 in Pickering back in 1997. An elderly couple owned it since new, and I saw them out getting groceries in it with their middle-aged son driving. The car was a rather incongruous combination of Burnished Saddle with Grecian Green 2-tone roof and gold interior (Ash Gold on the roof would've been better). The car was long in the tooth 26 years ago, as were the owners. I would've loved to see the trim tag on that one, but I suspect it was just a screwy repaint.

Another semi-relevant point is that Oshawa continued to offer additional 2-tones above what they offered in the U.S. As an example, the U.S. 1974 Chevrolet Wagons brochure lists several 2-tones combined with Antique White, while that Canadian brochure repeats that list and adds the following additional sentence, "Additional combinations available."... Indeed, there was a '74 Bel Air wagon 2 block from me in '74 that was Sandstone with a Bronze Metallic roof scalp & body sides. I also remember 50 years ago seeing a '73 version of that 2-tone as well on a '73 Impala wagon. That one was Brown metallic with Chamois scalp & lower body below the lower crown line to the rockers, showing that the paint accent areas changed between 1973 & 74 models.

I think that in 1969 GM Canada was still producing unique Canadian versions of cars, but starting 1969 there was a real change in that Canada started sending a lot more cars to the U.S. to offset what was coming into Canada from the U.S. To that end, paint schemes changed from enamel with body-coloured trunks & firewalls, to lacquer with black firewalls & spatter-painted trunks.

Another observation I have made on the Oshawa 67s is that every 2-tone I have seen documented was a different combination than was offered in the U.S. I thought Verde Green on the roof of a Mountain Green car would harmonize well and I had produced a picture of what it might look like. It is funny, but a decade later I saw a survivor Chevy II with original 2-tone paint in that combination
