A friend's father ordered a '73 Biscayne B07 Police Interceptor with LS4 454, fat stabilizers, super strong brakes, 3.42:1 Positraction & a 140 mph speedo. He wanted to tow a house trailer.
Here's another rendering, this one is of that particular car as close as I could get it when I attempted it:

I think somebody on this site actually went back in 1985 to look at this car when it was being sold. Could it have been Hillar? The original owner's son (my friend Scott) talked about his friend with a 1970 Laurentian 454.

Same car ^.

$1100? I should have bought it myself! Except I was a poor student and I already had my Chevelle. It was enough trouble to keep stored.

That was Linus Howe's car in Ancaster Heights, pictured after a 1985 repaint. Linus had bought a brand new 1985 Caprice with 305, Positraction, trailering axle ratio, F40 suspension plus a dealer-added rear stabilizer bar. Linus told me that the F41 suspension had firm shocks but not the heavy duty springs that he wanted. He also had blackwall radials on it. The car was sort of the same colour as the repainted '73 you posted.

Linus looked sort of like Christopher Kimball on Milk Street TV, the cooking show. He was older, looked somewhat frail, was very proper and well-organized (he was an accountant).

He passed away in 1988, before I could learn what he knew about Z04 H.D. Chassis Equipment (he had a documented car and all documents pertaining).

As for the ugly eye hooks for tie-downs, dad's Biscaynes all had flat steel tabs riveted to the inside edge of the fenders towards the hood / trunk opening. Made from Stelco steel in Hamilton of course. We drove to Newfoundland from Ancaster in a '70 Biscayne 6-cyl 3-spd with those tabs securing an aluminum Nalco 14" car-top boat (made in Scarborough) while towing an Otto Prospector tent trailer (made in Edmonton). There was never a problem. They were riveted and could've been drilled out easily enough for removal. We also drove west in that car to Vancouver Island, plus it crossed the Great Salt Lake (the actual place in Utah, not the annual road brine spraying ritual). It took us to Florida, California, Washington(s), even into Tijuana, Mexico.

Dad's '70 looked like this:

I also found a picture from 1984 of my 1977 Yamaha DT125D, set in front of dad's '74 Biscayne with the tabs visible.

I sold the bike for $400 the day after the photo was taken. I replaced it with a new Honda XL350R that I still have today, 40 year's later!

1974 Bel Air wagon, 400 4-barrel small block (no smog pump!), TH400 transmission, 3.08:1 h.d. 8.75" 10-bolt rear. That is a tough car. I'm surprised it hasn't been claimed by a smash-up derby since that is where they all seem to have gone.

You know Chevy truck Rally Wheels with 5" bolt circles work on these big cars. Here's a '73 picture I virtually threw a set on:
