Videos (Not Mine) of the Bow Island Auto Yard

Recent videos posted on youtube of the yard I visited in my Sunday at Bow Island thread. I did not take the videos.

The pictures I took on my thread were of cars I thought would be of interest (Pontiacs + 50's Chrysler products) to the members of Canadian Poncho.

This place is owned by a 87 year old guy, who's parents bought the original 3300 acre property back in the day.

Most of the land was sold off and he has kept a portion. The farm is a 3.5/4 hour drive from Calgary and

is about 100 miles from the Montana border. Everything in the yard is for sale, but I would say don't expect "deal"

prices on anything. The guy knows the value of what he has and he wants that price.

A 63 Plymouth 2 door hardtop - $7500

1954 4 door New Yorker ( minty condition, one of 300 ) - $10,000

VW Beetle -  $6000.

There was a great abundance of older Dodge trucks in great condition, minimal rust on a lot of them.

I didn't find any parts I was looking for so I don't know what's being asked for car parts.

He says he has buyers from as far away as Japan and Europe.

The chrome on these cars is exceptional. Most don't have any pitting on the chrome.

Great place to explore and a lot of tall grass and gopher holes to try to avoid.

if this is the same yard that I came across in 1997(?) I tried doing a walk through and was essentially told "no"...
At the time I had a job in the road construction industry, and was going around the province to check on crushing operations to ensure they were crushing aggregate within spec...
If it is the yard I am thinking of, there was a carousel red (read: orange) 1976 Trans Am that was within view of the highway...

Probably not,the last bit of road (half hour of driving ?) was all dirt road.

I wonder if maybe you were near the Flatla Auto Wrecking yard near Tilley?  -G
