This has been a long journey, and still not finished

Hello everyone,

this is my first post and the second time that I posted a picture of my car. This car was handed down from my dad to me.

He owned and operated a body shop and never had the time to do anything with this car. He loves the Canadian Pontiacs,

and has owned a few and restored an American model sedan. This one has been in his compound since '92 and brought to my house in 2003.

Anyway the story of a long restoration, which I started and am trying to complete, with zero body experience but plenty of welding exp.

It just got out of the machine shop and runs great, I tried to keep it as original as possible, but upgraded the motor with a few new parts.

It's not finished but I would like to share a few pictures, so here goes.group A (1).bmpgroup K (3).jpgIMG_0775.JPGFXFR2613.JPGP1010068.JPGP1010070.JPGP1010071.JPGP1010065.JPG

I hope these pics come through.

Cheers

Those 57 Pontiac wagons are such good looking cars. So happy to see another one being prepped to get driven again.

I love it! I know someone else with a '57 Pathfinder Deluxe who would also love it but I haven't seen him on here in a few years.

What carburetor are you running on the 261?

Thanks again everyone, that is a 2brl weber carb, I purchaced the cam, lifters ,headers , intake and carb from Clifford performance. Unfortunatly the intake and exhaust manifolds were rusted to the extent that the wall thickness were to thin and the machinist wasn't confidentthat they would be reliable, so now they are on displayed on the wall of my garage with the carb.

Here's what you need for that 261:

142689096.jpg

1954 Corvette intake manifold with triple side draft Carters.

It was for sale on Hemmings last summer out of Tennessee but it appears to have sold.

Those early 6-cylinder Corvettes are museum pieces, so finding another set will be difficult.
