Tried Ceramic coating

Dropped my car off at the detailers to get a ceramic coating applied. Seems to be a little shinier, looks pretty good I think.

That looks amazing. What is Ceramic coating exactly? Is it just a term for some polymer? It can't possibly be glass can it?

Kelvin, the car looks great!

I use ceramic coating on my alloy wheels, where it works exceptionally well. I found the hot solvent in it lifted stubborn brake dust better than other stuff. The wheels cleaned up nice, and the coating is anhydrous so it strengthens with water exposure rather than washing off.

I didn't use it on the paintwork because I found a wax that works beautifully on bright red. It's called "Lava" and it's made by The Chemical Guys.
