Ste Therese assembly plant (Translation would be nice?)

Saw this online. I've yet to see a 66 Pontiac assembled there but I believe over the years a few cars have showed up here with the correct plant code in the VIN for this plant.

From Google Translate...

"A formidable test! If every car that leaves the GM plants in Ste-Thérèse is subjected to a rigorous examination, none has the honor of undergoing the test in front of such an informed and merciless jury. In the group we recognize the assistant chief of chassis section Dick Baker; the head of the body and paint sections, Ron Cox; the director of the shops, Jack Riley; the director of the plant, E. N. Weldon; the production engineer, Fritz Dantzer; the chief of equipment, Bill Robinson; the director of quality control, A. Milne; F. B. Branton of the production section, among others

tres. They examine the first Impala assembled at the GM plant in Ste-Thérèse to ensure that it is worthy of leading the way for thousands of others that will follow. Already, assemblers are beginning to assemble a number of the more luxurious models that the plant will soon be called upon to produce. Until now, only four-door Pontiac and Chevrolet Sedans, Strato-Chief, Laurentian, Belair and Bis cayne series, have been assembled there. Some 14,600 cars have already left the GM plant in Ste-Thérèse since it opened in September 1965."

I had my honeymoon in Montreal. While there I watched one of the few English channels for the news. On the news that day 38 years ago was the story of a little boy with a terminal disease. The Make-A-Wish foundation made his wish come true - it showed him sitting in the lap of a driver who was driving a like-new Ste. Thérèse-built '66 Bel Air sedan "off the line" in a promotional gesture.

I believe all Ste. Thérèse output went to the U.S. initially. Cars were built to U.S.-spec with lacquer paint ("3" on the trim tag rather than a "9"). No SS427s were offered in Canada for 1967 but Ste. Thérèse built 40 coupes to be sent to the States. This was an effort to offset the U.S. cars coming into Canada, as per the Auto Pact. Starting 1968 we started seeing Ste. Thérèse cars sold in Canada on a limited basis. Cars like the SS427.
