CARLS TOYS

I have a 66 Pontiac Strato Chief 2 door BIG block 4 speed..    also have 92 Sunbird conv. converted to rwd  355 chevy 350 turbo runs 13.99 on street radials.     Had a 67 Beaumont SD 396 CONV  1 OF 602 OR 3        Had a 71 Ventura Sprint 307 4 speed 14.9 on street tires.     Had a 73 Lemans sport coupe 350-4b.    Have a 2500hd to pull my trailer (Texas e-bay purchase) and a winter driven 98 Jimmy    sooo lots of GMC/Pontiac stuff.   I took my Strato Chief to a show last year, and was embarassed by guys with BIG dollar restorations. My car is almost a 1 0f 1 car, but all original (not restored) so it stays in the garage.. I have some pictures of 67 Beaumont SD in my hometown of Sackville N.B. Will upload them if you would like to see    CARL H.

Havent seen a 66 Grande Parisienne since 1969 My friend here, in the air force, at the time had a gold hardtop 396-325 It was a rocket! He traded it at Central Chev for a rally green 69 Z28 The Pontiac would run the speedo down in 2nd gear..scary. You sold the 4 speed car? Shame on you lol Carl

You seem to find Carls on every Site you go to.  Not that there is anything wrong with that.

hey!  If its white  and a 4 speed  and a 2 door post   Rat power , then I must be mistaken     Its obviously a Canadian Pontiac..  I have a xtra pair of Strato Chief emblems, I will loan you, when you get surrounded, by Pontiacs  lol  IF I didnt have a history with my friends car from high school, I would probably have a car identical to yours.  You should meet Andy from Moncton. I bought the Pontiac from him.  He has a 66 Bel Air 2 door, light blue 427-425 racer and a 66 Biscayne WHITE 2 door 454 4 speed auto. and a (for sale) 1966 Impala wagon Factory 396 4 speed , but he loves Pontiacs too  lol

MY friend Dave,a body man in Goderich, wanted to put a V8 in a Sunbird. I bought hima 93 red 2 door for 100.00 and he started cutting it up. He was doing so well, I bought a rust free 92 conv. and made him help me do mine. We cut out the firewall and floors and installed 32 inches of S10 front susp. We installed 1x3 along floor sides and tied it to ladder bar rear end installed S10 posi rear w/3.42 and built a tunnel for console.. He did the prototype work on his and then did mine..He plastic welded the console to look stock.. Larry Kilpatric of Killer racing built me a 355 for it with trick 350 trans and 3000 stall Dave painted both cars and had Larry freshen up a 350 he had..My car ran 1399 with 1.99 60 foot on street tires We kept the Sunbird wheelbase,so its a Little front heavy.. We had a alum gas tank made, to fit in trunk, where spare was.. I have a lot of pictures of build, if you ever want to see.. The car went through a set of rear tires at last cruise night before Bean Fest in ZURICH 1 SET OF TIRES FROM 5PM TIL 11PM LOL

Hope so:   have pedals, steering column, Muncie with ALL new internals, Hurst shifter, Centreforce clutch and pressure plate, release bearing, cross shaft (bell crank) rod for clutch arm, big block bell housing, new carpet..  Once I have cross shaft, bracket in place ,I'll pull out the trans and start .. THIS is a long version of the answer : I THINK SO    Carl

I have a chevelle bracket that bolts on   Do you have a picture of your bracket ?     I think the biggest problem I might have is getting the cross shaft working..   the rest looks easier    carl

don't have a picture carl, but i used a camaro bracket bent 90 degrees and bolted it on rather than remove and reweld the original from my old frame. the chevelle one should work perfect, you might have to shorten it a bit to clear the body mount stand on the frame. don't forget, the cross shaft ball stud threads into the bellhousing hole not into the engine block. there is an indentation in the frame where the cross shaft sits above.
if you need a picture, i can one get on monday. i saved the frame section with the bracket, but it's at work.
