RE: BUD SHOOTOUT 1 WEEK AWAY...

Here's how the car looks now. It is somewhere in B.C. Which look do you like better?

How the engine looks now:

Call me old fashioned, but I liked it better the old way. If I had kept it, I was going to make it a Super Stock clone. I'd have the tow bars out front, the nose sitting slightly higher than the rear and early 60's style removeable decals on the side like this:

I vote the way it looked when you had it. The new look is neat too, but I'm a sucker for a car that looks restored/original.

That's the look I like - stock with the dog dish caps and thin white walls on black rims. That's the setup I have on my 63 Ventura 2 dr ht and it looks sharp. I'm with Dave - the big wheels do nothing for me on these classics.

I'm sorry, but those big wheels look just plain stupid. Never did like them, it makes any car look like it belongs in a Hot Wheels blister pack.

I took the car to the track for a kick one Friday night. I ran a 16 flat in the 1/4. I thought that was pretty good since my reaction times sucked, I was on bias ply tires and the 389 was still running the 2bbl! If I didn't sleep at the lights, the car could easily have been in the 15's
