Here's how the car looks now. It is somewhere in B.C. Which look do you like better?
How the engine looks now:
Call me old fashioned, but I liked it better the old way. If I had kept it, I was going to make it a Super Stock clone. I'd have the tow bars out front, the nose sitting slightly higher than the rear and early 60's style removeable decals on the side like this:
i gotta go with this look, i like the original dog dish caps. i don't like the 18-22s or whatever the hell they are, on any '60s car. engine looks good, like those dual carbs. dave.
That's the look I like - stock with the dog dish caps and thin white walls on black rims. That's the setup I have on my 63 Ventura 2 dr ht and it looks sharp. I'm with Dave - the big wheels do nothing for me on these classics.
I took the car to the track for a kick one Friday night. I ran a 16 flat in the 1/4. I thought that was pretty good since my reaction times sucked, I was on bias ply tires and the 389 was still running the 2bbl! If I didn't sleep at the lights, the car could easily have been in the 15's
I like the car both ways.. I like big wheels on some things I like 20's on a truck... but whatever floats your boat... BTW Toyota DIDNT Win...........yea...
