Need some help

Im trying to keep my 283 somewhat stock and have run into a little trouble. The only things im changing are cam and manifold.I have a Weiand 4 barrel manifold i wanted to use but the pcv filter under the stock manifold is in the way. This weiand is somewhat era correct as it has the provision for the oil filler neck so i really wanted to use it if any.I've already restored my valve covers so changing them is out(to provide an alternate pcv)Want to keep the stock look anyways.Im thinking that filter under the manifold is needed so complete removal is out?Any ideas? As always thanks in advance.

Well, that is a baffle to stop oil from getting sucked in so I suppose you could modify it to fit.

I'm glad you mentioned this. I want to use a stock 69 Z28 intake on my early 327 block. I may have the same issue.

Thanks for replying Carl.I was thinking for a mod to take a sawzall and cut the top flat and tack a tin plate on so it would be flat on the top?Not sure if this would give enough clearance but i have several of those baffles to play with.I already destroyed one smashing it flat with a sledge....lol.nope that didnt work.

I can't see why you couldn't tack a piece on like you say. Should be fine

When you say the PCV filter under the stock manifold, are you referring to the horizontal cylinder looking thing back by the distributor that connects to the road draft tube?
