Sorry for being so late.

I never saw a chart for Canadian Pontiac (53-54) with the ivory top. Only for Us. Can you confirm your chart is for Canadian Pontiac?

(anyway for me it's too late...)

Get ready for Real update:

The Pontiac is now in my shop, it's her turn. Last month I worked on a 37 Ford, and before a 2CV Citroën.. The first job was to bolts correctly the body on the frame...it's so cool to work back on.

Hi guys, sorry for beeing late,

For the your valves problems, try this: remove the intake /exhaust manifold, open the two valve cover, send generously loose nut or something similar, and pry gently by the valve spring/stem. You have nothing to loose. If no progress, remose head.

But to be honest, if the valve are stuck, the cylinder wall should not look too good...it worth the try!

Next update....

for those who follow this thread, the wiring harness from Narragensett was here at the end of june. I didn't have any time to open the box before last week. The wiring they sent me is wrong.....yes wrong. I called them and they will look at it. I will send the box tomorrow. I didn't fit the car, and it's not the same as the old one, that I,ll send with.

Today I began to polish stainless, and can you see my joy to look at the very first piece on the new red paint..!!!

stay tune

Fitz.

Not very impressive work but, on the picture who I'm in, it's a very important one to me. It's the first time since September 2006 that the ignition key's are back in the dash ignition switch!

In 2011 and 2012 (in the slowest parts of the resto) I was ready to sell it. Someone offer me some $$ to get all the parts. My wife didn't want me to selling it. Since that, the new bodyman take carefully in is skilled hand and today I'm going down the hill now, not going up like the last 7 years.

I'm working on the wiring this week, I want the car to start with the key in the dash. I can't only wire the key and left the rest alone without connecting anything else. I put in the main rear wiring the backup light wire. Narragansett lost the back bulb light socket connector (and the bulb to goes with...)so I have to get new one. For the rest of the job everything goes fine. There was a small mistake in their wiring shematic, but easy to make the correction. Their schematic are hard to read since I never get with a description of symbol. Now it's to late, I understood now how they did it.

Not everything is connected, but the most important thing are. I plug together the AMP wires, connect a battery and...every light and accesoiries light up or start up. Yes the radio too!!!

The battery was not too much charged enough, but I tried the starting function and the starter engaged correctly. Everything goes fine with this rebuilt. Even the radio!!

Well thanks Andre for the update. Funny I was thinking a couple weeks ago wondering how your project was going. New red looks great but I think you couldn't have gone wrong with either. I love to observe your patience and attention to detail, you are going to have a great looking car.
