I've been asked a few times to post a photo of this cluster, so here it is. I got it a few years ago on ebay, the gent was parting a fully loaded Catalina that had a tree fall on it. The buzzer is sitting on top of the cluster. This will end up in my gold hardtop once I get the mileage up to the appropriate reading.
He had 3 auctions I was interested in, the speedo in one, the buzzer in another, and something else (I think it was an uncut plastic surround). We cut a deal so I'd do a buy it now for the speedo, and he'd include the buzzer. It sure saved on shipping, but don't worry, I paid dearly for the speedo. He was selling parts from that car for a while after that.
I figured everyone thought I was full of beans, so I thought it best to finally post a photo. It's the only one I've ever seen.

I've long learned to never say never with cars/parts. I often say "I've never heard of that before" but never say never. I've eaten too many nevers in my lifetime and they don't taste that good.

That is pretty cool. It's funny that no one offers a speedminder today, especially with draconian laws like Ontario's "street racing" law where something like this could actually come in pretty handy.

The last car I drove with one of these reminders was my Father-in-Laws 1978 Buick Electra Park Avenue. He picked me up one night after he closed his Tavern on the Dnaforth and we headed to the cottage. This was before marriage so I was probably 19 or so. He was tired so he let me drive, think about this, 19, girlfriends Father's Buick Electra, he's alsleep beside you, that's trust.
So I'm booting it up HWY 400 in this beauty at 2:00 am in the morning and the damn thing goes off, F-I-L wakes up saying easy easy, LOL he set it at 140, so much for trust.
I agree Hillar. Today's cars could have a little flatbed icon with a car on the back that comes on when you drive 50km/h over the limit. There's lots of room for it between the "Check Engine" and "Low Tire Pressure" indicator..
